SRG receives NSF PFI funding for translational research

We are excited to share the news that SRG is awarded a $550k NSF Partnership for Innovation (PFI) grant to develop prototypes of soft grippers based on dynamically tunable adhesion. This is a collaborative project with SRG’s longtime collaborator, Prof. Kevin Turner at Penn.

This PFI award is a critical step towards commercialization of the patented tunable adhesion technologies generated from fundamental research SRG has engaged in recently. In total, SRG & Co. have secured ~ $2.4 M NSF funding for this topic since 2017.
