It is homecoming in essence. Wanliang has been trained to be a solid mechanician at Princeton. It is only fitting and extremely fulfilling for Wanliang to receive the NSF Career Award from the “notoriously” competitive Mechanics of Materials and Structures (MoMS) program! Many thanks to the support from mentors and colleagues over the years!

Congratulations to Yanbing!
Guangchao’s Paper on tunable dry adhesion published with Advanced Functional Materials!
We are excited to share that our group has achieved a significant advance on tunable dry adhesion using soft hollow pillars under low pressure. Dry adhesion ~150 times change within one second using low pressure ~10 kPa is reported in a paper with Advanced Functional Materials! The link is here: https://doi.org/10.1002/adfm.202209905

SRG receives NSF PFI funding for translational research
We are excited to share the news that SRG is awarded a $550k NSF Partnership for Innovation (PFI) grant to develop prototypes of soft grippers based on dynamically tunable adhesion. This is a collaborative project with SRG’s longtime collaborator, Prof. Kevin Turner at Penn. This PFI award is a critical step towards commercialization of the […]
Jason received SOURCE grant from SU!
SRG undergrad member Jason has received a $5,000 SOURCE grant to conduct research on novel smart materials under mentoring from Prof. Shan. SOURCE stands for the Syracuse Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Engagement. We thank SU for the support!
