We are excited to share the news that an AI Institute planning grant led by our collaborators at Arizona State University (including Prof. Yang Jiao and Prof. Yi Ren) has been funded by NSF! SRG receives a $30k subaward, which is SRG’s first federal support on AI & Machine Learning. We are working hard towards […]
On the last I-Corps trip for the compliant grasping technology SRG developed, Gunner visited Syracuse from UNR, joining Wanliang to explore the greater Boston area. There happened to be a provost party at WPI, where Gunner and Wanliang were able to meet with Wole and Nima. All enjoyed the party before Christmas very much!!
Wanliang attended SSCI for the first time and presented the paper titled “Global Optimal Path Planning for Multi-agent Flocking: A Multi-Objective Optimization Approach with NSGA-III” authored by Adarsh, Wanliang and Hao. This is the first time that IEEE SSCI has been held in China. Xiamen boosts comfortable winter and has deeply impressed Wanliang.
RoboSoft is a new IEEE conference dedicated to soft robotics research. The first one was held in Seoul in 2019. Next year it will be at Yale University in April 2020. Wanliang is excited to contribute to the field.
Wanliang attended multiple conferences in Oct. and Nov. 2019. These include DSCC 2019, SES annual meeting 2019, BMES annual meeting 2019, NSF EEC Grantees Conference 2019, and IMECE2019. New friends are made and new collaborations are formed. SRG members are excited about the upcoming research!
SRG moved to SU in August 2019. We are excited for the new adventure.
